ZONE SE7EN launch their next virtual event in their Insight Zone 2014 series, focusing on Enterprise Mobility. ZONE SE7EN brought together experts and key industry thought-leaders, and asked them the questions you wanted answers too, delivering informative, intuitive answers to help with those all-important security decisions.

Insight Zone’s virtual Executive Interviews and Roundtable asks those tough questions: How to track and manage mobile devices and operating systems; the necessary criteria to create a BYOD policy; the solutions available to store and archive on mobile devices yet retain security; the benefits of mobile cloud sharing and collaboration platforms; ensuring the right people have the right access to the right data, at the right time; and wearable technology.

Philip Barnett at Good Technology explains the aspects of tracking and managing mobile devices: “We really see that the management of multiple operating systems and multiple devices is really critical.”

Andrew Fryer from Microsoft tells us the critera for developing corporate Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policies: “There needs to be an opt-in process so that users can say that they are happy to that and there is a trade-off between the two.”

Jes Breslaw at Accellion provides a view of mobile cloud sharing and collaboration solution: “It’s letting lines of business look at their own processes and innovate, create better ways of working internally, with external contractors and third parties and, of course, their customers.”

Farhad Ghoreishi from HP explains BYOD policy benefits: “A well-designed BYOD environment brings about higher productivity for IT and network administrators, making them more agile, to be able to monitor, manage and secure the network more quickly.”

Rob Bamforth, a leading research analyst at Quocirca gives us his view on enterprise mobility trends: “We believe that BYOD is in its early stages and there will be more growth in this area; organisations want to know more about linkage between business processes and applications; and we think wearable technology is going to grow.”
