CYREN, providers of cloud-based security solutions, has announced that the New Saints Football Club, members of the Welsh Premier League and UEFA (Union of European Football Associations), has announced they are to adopt CYREN’s cloud-based WebSecurity solution, one of the first UK organisations to do so.
The football club selected CYREN WebSecurity via a UK distributor of IT security solutions, VCW Security, who are also a new partner of CYREN, who are securing online traffic for leading football club’s coaches, players and administrators since they’re partnership.
With many organisations finding that they are at potentially high security risks via the Internet, CYREN WebSecurity delivers a low cost, high utility, cloud-based solution for applications and storage that is also adaptable to the exponential growth of SecaaS (Security as a Service) market, which is driven by mobile workforces and BYOD trends.
Ian Willliams, COO at New Saints Football Club, said: “CYREN WebSecurity will serve as a key component of our football club’s comprehensive e-security efforts. By deploying CYREN’s cloud-based service, we will ensure safe web access for our entire organisation, including coaches, staff and players. The ability to protect our users on a wide variety of devices was one of the key top reasons for our choice.”
Commercial Director at VCW Security, Simon Jackson, commented: “We are particularly pleased that our first install will help guard a football club against ever-growing internet threats.”
And Lior Samuelson, CEO and Chairman at CYREN, added: “CYREN WebSecurity continues to spark interest among organisations to see the many benefits of a SecaaS solution, including enhanced next generation Internet protection and unmatched convenience. VCW Security’s upcoming deployment of CYREN WebSecurity at a well-known UK football club just underscores the level of innovation and simplicity that we are pleased to jointly offer.”
