Market leaders in document imaging scanners, Fujitsu, and Clio, providers of the leading cloud-based practice management solution, have collaborated to deliver a wireless scanning solution that has been built into Clio’s award-winning iOS application, a marking progress towards legal firms becoming paperless. The new integration allows firms to scan their documents directly into a Clio account via an iPhone from Fujitsu’s ScanSnap iX500 scanner.
Using the integration facility, lawyers are able to use their ScanSnap device to scan documents while out of the office, directly to the right matter within Clio, providing greater flexibility when dealing with and managing virtual documents. There is also a document preview feature within the Clio for iPhone app’s integration with ScanSnap, making it easier to ensure the document has been allocated to the right matter.
Jack Newton, CEO and co-founder of Clio, said: “We’re extremely pleased to partner with Fujitsu to offer a quantum leap forward in terms of law office mobility and document management. Using the integration, modern lawyers now have the freedom to manage documents no matter where their work takes them.”
“Fujitsu’s main object is to help our customers achieve a more efficient, paperless lifestyle,” added Mike Nelson, General Manager Sales & Marketing PFU Imaging Solutions Europe Ltd, a Fujitsu company. He continued: “Collaborating with our valued partners, such as Clio, to bring new applications for digitising and managing content to be even more productive across multiple platforms continues to help us meet our objectives.”
