Corelynx Inc., an enterprise software company based in Silicon Valley, has that all their cloud software and services will now be based on OpenStack’s open cloud architecture, benefiting Corelynx and their customers, and providing an ecosystem of ISV partners and the ability to leverage extendable open standard and open source APIs via a third party of on-premise.
The largest open source, cloud project community worldwide, OpenStack delivers a collaboration of technology-minded people and developers that work together to produce an IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) open source cloud computing platform; a community that Corelynx will be part of from June 2014.
Manash Chaudhuri, CEO and director of Corelynx, said: “OpenStack easily manages and automates pools of compute resources. With no proprietary hardware or software requirements, it is architected to provide flexibility in the cloud. Also, it can work with widely available virtualisation technologies, along with the high performance computing configurations. We have moved to ‘OpenStack powered Cloud’ to bring in the required alertness, availability and innovation for delivering the best products to our customers, faster than our competitors.”
Corelynx has taken this step with the small and medium-sized businesses in mind, providing them with greater flexibility and choice. Open Cloud is extendable and pluggable using an open API, and SMBs are able to use open web-based APIs for deploying and managing their workloads more effectively, adding features to their applications when necessary. Chaudhuri added: “Using our Open Cloud Offerings, we aim to benefit SMBs with hybrid cloud architecture. We plan to offer our clients a flexible environment where they can choose the application language and tools as per their requirements.”
