The UK-based Standard Life Group who specialise in savings and investments has announced the deployment of solutions from MobileIron and Deutsche Telekom in order to improve their enterprise mobility, delivering the necessary compliance and security for regulated financial services the company provides and increasing employee productivity.
Using MobileIron’s AppConnect framework together with Deutsche Telekom’s infrastructure to secure their enterprise applications, the new solutions will provide employee access to files and documents on employee-owned and corporate-issued iOS and Android devices. MobileIron’s Web@Work will also support Standard Life ensuring that users experience productive and secure browsing.
Stewart Aitken, head of Consumer IT in Group Operations IT at Standard Life, said: “MobileIron has made a huge difference to how our employees operate. Instead of needing to find a connection to our network to get their work done, employees can now go through DTAG’s systems to get the data and applications they need securely and from just about anywhere.”
Employees of Standard Life are now able to access file server data from any access point whilst MobileIron’s Docs@Work allows access to documents on Microsoft SharePoint via mobile devices.
